For the first time ever, our chefs are offering a series of gourmet kitchen classes. There will be three classes in 2020, covering the following topics:

  • Kombucha & Yeast - May 17
    • How to grow scoby
    • What tea to use
    • Making/flavoring syrup
    • Carbonated vs. still
    • Using yeast to make soda
    • Attendees will take home a mason jar of starter and scoby to start their own
  • Canning & Preserving - September 13
    • Methods (salt vs. sugar vs. syrup)
    • Pickling
    • Cleanliness
    • Different produce
    • Short term vs. long term preserving
    • How to use it in food and drinks
    • Seasonality
    • Tools/equipment
    • Attendees will take home an item previously canned by the chefs as well as the item they can themselves during the class
  • Baking Technique - November 15

TIME / LOCATION:
Each class will take place at Gunshow. Classes are expected to last approximately 2 hours. Classes will begin at 3:00pm.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

    • Hands on learning, led by our chefs
    • Souvenirs from the class (your very own scoby, canned item, et. al.)
    • Booklet with recipes and handy insider tips
    • Cocktails and snacks during the class

THE FINE PRINT:

Must be 21 years or older to attend. Tickets are non-refundable. Please add your class date(s) to your calendar/reminders. In the event that you cannot attend the class and would like to transfer your ticket to another guest's name, please contact us in advance at merch@gunshowatl.com.
